Serving the entire Gulf Coast area, Nielsen & Treas, LLC, is a law firm based in Metairie, Louisiana. Dedicated to giving back, the lawyers at Nielsen & Treas, LLC, support the efforts of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its fight to end childhood cancers.
In December 2018, St. Jude announced it had received a $50 million donation from AbbVie - a renowned biopharmaceutical firm - that will help finance a new Family Commons area at the hospital’s Memphis location. The donation is the largest in St. Jude’s history.
According to St. Jude, the Family Commons will be a floor completely devoted to relaxation and recovery. No medical treatments will take place in the commons; its entire focus will be on a relaxing environment for families of children battling cancer.
In addition to walking areas and gardens, the Family Commons will have play areas for children. More information about St. Jude and its work is available at www.stjude.org.
